Photographing a growing family

I first photographed the MacDonald family in the fall. They had just moved to Seattle, WA from Atlanta, GA. Kirsten was pregnant, Kunal had accepted a new job. Adeleigh was on her way to toddlerhood. When I got the call that the time had come to meet the newest member of the family, James Everett b. 8lbs 4oz, I couldn't wait to see and hold him. I think he is honestly one of the most beautiful newborns I have seen. His arm had to be broken during delivery, and it seemed like like he was handling it like a champ. These are my photos from that rainy, but happy, morning in Ballard. Thank you, Kirsten, for inviting me to document this time. xo
