A few months ago, Ru's Kiki and Pops (grandparents) came to Seattle and stayed with Rufus while David and I took our first trip away from him together. I was SO scared. My anxiety was sky high, imagining every possible worst case scenario. By the time I got to LA I was exhausted. And then? And then we had the most refreshing trip. Museums, long dinners, long walks, Bravo celebrity sightings, and PALM TREES! David and I spent time together in a way we hadn't in so long. If you are afraid to leave your baby, travel away, hand over responsibility- do it!
