Seattle Family Photographer
Remember what this felt like.
Photographs that feel like your actual family-Beautiful, honest, and unmistakably yours
Thoughtfully guided family photography
Some photographs tell you what everyone looked like.
There are family photographs that tell you what everyone looked like, and there are the ones that stay with you. The ones that remind you how your daughter reached for your hand without thinking. How your son laughed with his whole body. The way your family fits together right now, in this exact, chaotic chapter.
Years from now, I don’t just want you to remember this season. I want you to remember what it felt like to live it.
And that includes you. Put the phone down and let me take the picture instead, the one with you in it, loving your people.
What I’m Looking For
I’ll tell you exactly where to stand, what to do with your hands, when to look at each other, and when to forget I’m even there. Every family already has this. I’m just there to notice it.
I’m looking for the exhale. Comfort. The lean in. The way a child reaches for a parent’s face. Inside jokes. The way siblings actually interact. A toddler climbing into a lap. A shy child slowly opening up. The pause after everyone stops trying. The tiny gestures families don’t even realize they do.
Every photograph begins with intention, but my favorite photographs are the ones where your family simply finds each other.
The grain, the light. This is what it felt like to live it.
Meet Chelsea
Hi, I'm Chelsea. I'm a mom of two myself, so I get it: the chaos, the love, all of it happening at once. I'd love to get to know your family next.
“Upon receiving my photos, I cried —
I saw myself as a mother for the first time. ”
What to Expect
Sessions run 45 to 90 minutes, in your home or a favorite spot nearby. Studio sessions are available if a full hour feels like too much right now, and seasonal mini sessions are a favorite! Investment starts at $1495 for full family sessions and $650 for studio sessions.
Into Motherhood
Motherhood is full of contradictions. The pandemic only compounded the isolation that mothering brings.
Through interviews, photographs, and poetry Michelle and I intend to use our art to replace the isolation of mothering with connection. We will peel back the facades and address all the contradictions tucked inside our hearts and homes.
