Laid-back Lifestyle Photography Session at Home on Bainbridge Island

Part 3 of Heidi / Bainbridge Boheme's Newborn and Family Session

It is easy to focus on baby toes and toddler smiles...big family hugs and tickle sessions. But while photographing Heidi and her family, I also really wanted to capture the bravery and beauty that Heidi is radiating. Her husband Jeff was literally about to ship off for a month leaving Heidi alone with two year old Julian and three week old Inez. Heidi was calm, caring, baking, reading, organizing and going with the flow of spilled coffee and pouches. I only spent a few hours with her, but her grace and patience really left me wanting to be a better mother.
