Introducing The Print Shop!
Fine Art Photography Prints for Your Home
I have opened my print shop! Over the past few years I have been taking photos when I travel, taking still lives inspired by Dutch masters and modern art, and creepily stalking flowers in my neighbors’ yards. I have been thinking of putting them in a little shop for a while, and after staring at my own walls for 10 weeks, I thought there might be others out there looking to refresh their home with some art. I love gallery walls and art, with my own collection larger than my walls can hold. I have curated this selection to make a statement in your home that is beautiful, unique and intriguing.
All the print shop details
This May I opened the print shop with six photographs as a part of the initial release.
There will be new photographs added from me and contributing artists frequently!
The paper, ink, and printing process was selected thoughtfully for a print that can be displayed with or without a frame and glass.
The sizes offered for each print vary to best compliment the style of photograph.
Additional products and framing will be launched later in 2020.
CMP Print product details
When it came to setting up the shop, I decided to skip offering digital downloads to print on your own for the time being. I am a bit of a control freak. Three printers, and five paper and printing combinations later, I have the winning combo! All of the photographs in the print shop are printed using the giclée process on a 100% cotton, slightly textured, smooth fine art archival paper. Giclée is a technology for fine art or photograph reproduction using a high-quality inkjet printer to make individual copies.
The prints will have rich color and a matte appearance. They are ready for display in or out of a frame, and the archival paper and ink that are used means they are thick and will hold up over time. Eventually the shop will offer framed prints and other goods as well, but the pandemic put a hold on this for the time being.
The Photographs
Last, but certainly not least, here are the photographs included in the May 2020 release!
Venice
The most whimsical canal in all of Venice, CA. I hope this image inspires wanderlust and nostalgia. It reminds me of a vintage postcard and definitely makes me want to jump on a plane.
Tulips I
This still life of fading tulips was inspired by 17th century Dutch horticulture paintings. I love the wilt of the petals and the arch of the stems. I hope you love it too!
Garden II
Roses and sunshine. Need I say more? Garden II is a standout on it’s own or great buddying up with Garden I.
Garden I
These garden roses are incredibly fluffy and the leaves almost look like lace. Garden I looks great paired with Garden II or as part of a gallery wall - of course she can hold her own as well.
Bison
I photographed these bison in a snow flurry outside of Leavenworth, WA. This print is for lovers of negative space with a soft spot for pink.
SWAY
Don’t feel shy about adding Sway to a gallery wall. She fits right in and adds feeling and movement.
